Occasionally, a Schlage Engage lock will begin exhibiting strange behavior that may be fixed by Factory Default Resetting (FDR), re-commissioning, and refreshing it's configuration in Prempoint.
To do this, perform the following steps, in order, without skipping any of them:
- Factory Default Reset the device.
- In the Allegion Engage app, find the device in your Prempoint-assigned Engage site and delete it. You must do this as Engage only allows a device to be commissioned once throughout the entire Engage system. Since you'll be commissioning it in the next step, you must delete it first.
- In the Allegion Engage app, commission the device again.
- Run a full SmartSync on the device. This will rewrite all the configuration and fobs you've done through Prempoint.
