The most common reason for authentication to fail while adding a newly-commissioned Schlage Engage lock to Prempoint is that the lock was commissioned under the wrong Engage Site. You must ensure that you use the Engage Site that Prempoint provided when doing the commissioning. This configures the lock so it only works in the Prempoint software and no other software can access the lock.
You can validate this is your problem by opening the Allegion Engage app and looking at the Engage Site you used to commission the lock. If you don't also see all your other locks in there, then this is not the correct Engage Site.
If this is the case, you must do the following:
- Factory default reset the Schlage Engage lock
- Delete the lock from the incorrect Engage Site using the Allegion Engage app
- Switch to the correct Engage Site provided by Prempoint from within the Allegion Engage app
- Commission the lock again
After the above is complete, you will be able to add the lock to Prempoint.
