Adding a lock to all units quickly

When initially configuring Prempoint, you may have common area doors that you want to assign to all units.  Rather than doing this unit by unit, we have a quick and simple way to do this in one operation.

Once you have the lock added to Prempoint, go to the devices page in the web console and do the following:

1. Find the device in question
   
   
2. Click on the menu arrow at the right end of the device's row
   
   
3. Click "Assign To Units"
   
   
4. In the dialog popup, do one of the following:
   
   
   1. If you're adding the device to ALL units, leave the filter blank and just click "Assign"
      
      
   2. If you want to add the device to a SUBSET of units, and you have those units tagged appropriately, you can enter that tag value in the filter then click "Assign"

Once the above has been completed, we will begin adding the device to the specified units in the background.  Depending on the number of units you have, this could take 5-10 minutes.

During this processing, we will also copy over any manager and resident smart keys to the device.  Those smart keys will be in "pending add" status when the background processing has been completed.  At this point, you can do a Full SmartSync on the device to get the smart keys written to it.  The smart keys will not work on the device until this Full SmartSync has been performed.
